Don't understand your DNS health from your Application Security? Look no further, we're here to help you. Here are some of the more popular terms to get you started. You can download these and more in a free PDF below.

APPLICATION
SECURITY

Application Security protects your web applications from external threats. Websites and the applications hosted on them can provide a doorway to lots of sensitive data. Some web applications have weaknesses which make them easy to hack. Hackers can inject their own code to manipulate the website to get their hands-on sensitive information or make changes to the site.

CUBIT SCORE

Cubit score is a measure that looks at a variety of security issues that a company might have and checks for the implementation of common security best practices. For example, it checks public threat intelligence databases for any associated IP addresses that have been flagged. If they have been flagged, then your website might be at risk of being targeted and could lead to significant harm to the privacy of your data.

DNS HEALTH

Your DNS (Domain Name System) is the Internet's way of converting alphabetic names, such as a Web address (URL) into numeric ‘IP’ addresses. If your DNS settings and the configurations in your network are not good enough, it can leave you vulnerable. Hackers could override your IP settings to point people from your website to another, with different content or to malicious websites.

We have a free PDF download that also explains that includes the terms above and also these other ones:

  • Endpoint Security
  • Hacker Chatter
  • IP Reputation
  • Information Leak
  • Network Security
  • Patching Cadence
  • Social Engineering
